Feedback on listing on this directory
Mauricio Gomes Remedial Massage Waterloo
"When I first opened my massage clinic in Waterloo Sydney, I looked around at options for designing and hosting a website as part of my marketing strategy. I was surprised at how high some of the prices quoted were and how complicated the process could be. All I wanted was a simple, concise website, easy to navigate and that would attract more customers for a reasonable price.
Someone mentioned listing my site on RMC directory and I thought I'd give it a go. The price was an order of magnitude less than developing a stand alone site so I didn't think there was a great deal to lose. It had pretty much the exact format I was after so I decided to start straight away.
I completed the webform and the pages were there ready for me within a couple of days. Editing info on the pages that had been presented was reasonably straightforward and no major technical/computer skills are required to do this (+ there is good support for any changes that I have wanted to make or areas that I was having difficulty with).
Within about a week my pages were listed on the first page on Google!
After 18 months using RMC I have completely forgot about the idea of developing my own website. I just don't need to! These guys have worked really well on the search optimization and the result is my listing has always been on the first page of Google for "remedial massage waterloo" and "massage waterloo" - normally towards the top. I have had a steady stream of traffic to the pages (you get information about visitors to your site - in particular you can normally tie up when someone calls with when they are on your pages unlike many other directories).
I am now in the great position of having a full client book and having to turn away some clients. There are a number of reasons for this (and to be honest it is not just because of being listed here).
- Firstly, my clinic is in an area that has a rapid population growth and that population is a good demographic for massage.
- Secondly, there isn't a great deal of competition in the area.
- Thirdly, whilst I don't have my own website, I have built up a following through having (a freely hosted) blog and a Facebook page (and you can also get a link on your page for people to recommend you on FB, its great!). I have also listed my pages through other free directories (which were suggested by those that run this site).
- Finally, I am a good therapist and my clients like my style; I get a high proportion of repeat business and referrals.
However, having my site listed here has been a catalyst for these other factors. The steady stream of new clients has enabled these other factors to come into play.
If you are thinking about getting your own website and have been quoted large amounts of money for a site that may or may not even rank on Google, I would strongly encourage you to consider listing your clinic here first. At the very least you would develop an understanding of how having a website may or may not help your business. At best it would provide you with the clients you are looking for to grow your practice the way you want."
